Our lab experience is critical to our mission to build highly skilled cybersecurity teams. Most of our in-person courses are 70% labs and 30% lecture, a trait we also embed into our virtual courses. Unlike many online courses, we do not assign our labs as after-class homework. Instead our instructors guide students through the labs in real-time, dropping into students’ lab environments to provide assistance and leading lab debriefs. After class, students have lab access for an additional six months, so they can test new techniques and refresh skills.

During this training, students learn how to identify abnormal activity and investigate a running Windows or Linux system that may have been compromised.
Analyze reconnaissance, attack, lateral movement, exfiltration, and command-and-control traffic.
Build and maintain IDS/IPS and utilize advanced signature-writing techniques to defend large-scale network infrastructures.
